Terms and Conditions for table and chair cover hire
Placing an order:
Please telephone, fax or email us to place an order. We recommend that you place your order no later than three months prior to your event date to ensure availability. However, please do not hesitate to call us at short notice if you have a requirement and we will make every effort to accommodate your order.

Payment:
A Hire-Fee of £100 is required to reserve chair covers, chair backs or table runners for your event. The £100 Hire-Fee will be deducted from the full hire cost. A £100 refundable deposit is also required to safeguard lost or damaged goods. (see replacement list)
Full payment is due no later than four weeks prior to the event. Payment can be made by cheque made payable to: BALLOONS & LACEY.

Cancellations:
In the event that you may need to cancel your order, your hire-fee and full payment will be forfeited if cancellation is made less than four weeks prior to the event date. This is due to the fact that once we receive your order, other orders may be turned away to honour our commitment to you. Any custom made orders will automatically be processed to ensure that you receive the correct item.

Delivery and collection:
a. For a fee of £80.00 we can arrange delivery, fitting and collection. If you require this service, please state this clearly on your order form.
Delivery is only available to clients who live in and around LONDON (25-mile radius from our shop) ONLY.

b. We can deliver direct to your door or venue. Please ensure there is a representative on hand to collect and sign for the delivery. Charges for delivery and collection will be quoted at the time of order and added to the invoice.

c. Abortive journeys, extra journeys and waiting time will be charged on all orders. If hired goods are not available for collection at the agreed time and place, the hire will continue until such time as they are returned. Deliveries left at premises are left at the hirer's risk.

d. When returning hired items please refold them and place them in the bags or boxes provided by us. Damp linen should not be stored in polythene bags as mildew sets in quickly and is almost impossible to remove. Every item supplied by us has a replacement cost. If an item is lost or returned torn, burnt, stained or damaged in any way, you will be notified immediately and we will make a charge for replacement.

e. It is the hirer's responsibility to check your delivery. All shortages or incorrect order amounts must be notified to the company by the hirer or hirer's representative prior to use. Should this not be done, all losses, damages and omissions will be the sole responsibility of the hirer.
f. Deposits will not be refunded until hired items have been checked thoroughly by our staff.

Samples:
There will be a charge of £15.00 for chair cover, table cover and table runner samples sent out in the post. A stamped addressed envelope will be sent with samples so they can be returned to the company. An additional charge of £15.00 will be made for any samples that are not returned. Ensure you have a certificate of posting (this will cover you if the envelope does not reach our shop) from the Post Office when returning the samples, as we will charge for non return.

Goods at all times remains the property of the company.
